Christophe Lemaire Baby Alpaca Double-Breasted Jacket
Exceptional Christophe Lemaire jacket from the period when the label still carried the designer’s full name, before becoming simply Lemaire.
A beautifully understated piece with the relaxed, intelligent tailoring characteristic of Lemaire’s work. The silhouette has a subtle early-1990s feel, with a softly structured double-breasted construction and particularly elegant proportions.
One of its most distinctive features is the versatile shawl-style collar, which can be worn more open or wrapped closer around the neck, subtly changing the character of the jacket. Despite the substantial appearance and rich texture of the cloth, the jacket feels remarkably light and easy to wear.
The fabric is exceptional: a textured Italian blend containing 33% baby alpaca and 59% wool, giving it warmth, softness and depth without excessive weight. The mottled charcoal/grey-brown coloration further enhances the texture.
Details include a double-breasted front, chest welt pocket, two lower welt pockets, internal lining and understated tonal buttons. Comes complete with its original spare buttons.
Composition: 59% wool, 33% baby alpaca, 8% nylon
Half lining: 51% cotton, 49% viscose
Pocket lining: 100% cotton
Size: 2
Fabric: Baby Alpaca – Pontoglio Biella, Italy
Label: Christophe Lemaire
A refined and increasingly difficult-to-find example of early Christophe Lemaire, combining superb materials, lightness and an unusually versatile cut.

Christophe Lemaire Baby Alpaca Double-Breasted Jas
Samenstelling: 59% wol, 33% baby-alpaca, 8% nylon
Halfvoering: 51% katoen, 49% viscose
Zakvoering: 100% katoen
Maat: 2
Stof: Baby Alpaca – Pontoglio Biella, Italië
Label: Christophe Lemaire
