Vintage Chanel
This magnificent necklace is part of the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2004 collection (technically indicated as 04A on the authenticity hallmark). It is the famous ready-to-wear show designed by Karl Lagerfeld, characterized by a strong return to the historical and biographical codes of Mademoiselle Gabrielle, celebrating her personal iconography through the reinterpretation of classic elements. The Iconographic Details of the Collection Numismatic Inspiration: The main medallion, topped by a rigid golden bow, does not show a generic coin, but a real profile portrait of a young Coco Chanel with her beloved strands of pearls, flanked by the double 'C' logo. The 'Medallion & Charms' Theme: In that season, Lagerfeld focused the costume jewelry on showy coin-pendants (both matte and shiny) combined with baroque laminated glass pearls and rhinestone-covered logos. The jewels were paraded on the catwalk layered in contrast over tweed jacket-skirt suits and masculine-cut coats.
The collector's necklace must be serviced directly by Chanel so as not to lose its value
