Prada

WHITE

Iconic and definitely out of the ordinary, these Prada Sport sneakers for men, from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, perfectly represent that phase of Prada where sporty aesthetics were reinterpreted through extremely sophisticated materials and constructions.
Made of white patent leather, they have a low and tapered silhouette, with a slightly triangular and pronounced toe, much more elegant and special than classic sports sneakers. The detail that makes them immediately recognizable is the side trim in technical nylon, which runs along the perimeter of the shoe and continues on the toe, creating a sophisticated material contrast between the shiny surface of the patent leather and the technical fabric.
The result is a sneaker with a sporty, minimalist, and strongly Prada character, with an almost nautical aesthetic: precisely that mix of functionality, lightness, and technical luxury that has long characterized the Prada Sport universe. Prada itself describes its iconic America's Cup family as born from the world of sailing and characterized by the combination of patent leather, technical materials, and lightweight constructions.
Prada 1
They are particularly successful shoes also for a summer and seaside look, perfect with linen trousers, denim, bermuda shorts or chinos. Personally, I find them magnificent also paired with a boat / Riviera outfit, where the shiny white leather and the technical trim make even more sense.
