Prada Milano's Fall/Winter 1998 two-piece coordinated set, entirely Made in Italy, features brown satin woven labels with bronze lettering typical of the late 1990s. Crafted from 100% pure wool in a taupe/mud gray melange. The set embodies the modernist rigor of the 1998 runway collection, characterized by a fusion of austere minimalism and hand-crafted decorative elements:
Short-sleeved top: slim silhouette with tailored pleats at the bust, a V-neckline finished with a contrasting technical zip detail at the center and a concealed zip at the back. The neckline, sleeve cuffs, and hem are entirely edged with continuous embroidery of shiny black tubular beads/wire beads.
Short straight skirt: linear mid-rise with asymmetrical, contoured side seam and side zip closure with an original metal pull. The bottom hem is trimmed with the same continuous black tubular bead embroidery.
Size 42 IT is indicated on the internal band (corresponds to a slim S/M fit).
Excellent vintage condition (9/10). The wool fiber is compact, solid, and free of moth holes, fraying, abrasions, or pilling. The entire perimeter black bead embroidery on the top and skirt is intact, with no leaks or loose tension thread. The metal and concealed zippers slide smoothly. All Prada woven labels and brown fabric internal composition tags are crisp, intact, and securely attached.
