Alexander McQueen

goud

Rare late 1990s Alexander McQueen halter top, made from a luminous champagne gold lace with an opulent all-over embroidered floral pattern. The piece embodies the sensual romanticism that defined Alexander McQueen's work in that era, balancing delicate femininity with a dramatic silhouette construction. Cut with an elegant high neck and an open back, the top ties at the neck with long satin ribbons that cascade spectacularly down the back, creating beautiful movement when worn.

The complex lace overlay is set over a soft satin base, giving the textile a rich dimensional quality with a subtle sheen under the light. The sculptural draping at the front and the close-fitting cut accentuate the waist while maintaining a fluid, almost liquid appearance. The open-back construction and long ribbons add an unmistakably theatrical touch, synonymous with McQueen's late 1990s collections.

Pieces from this period are increasingly difficult to find. This top pairs beautifully with low-rise tailoring, silk skirts, or archival denim for a quintessential late '90s silhouette.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age

Size: Size label missing, fits approximately a modern S or M depending on desired fit. The adjustable halter tie allows for flexibility in the chest and neckline.
