Jean Paul Gaultier

multicolor

Jean Paul Gaultier maxi dress from the vintage "JPG.jean's/Made in Italy" collection in a multi-coloured 100% viscose material.
CONDITION/SIZE🔽
Set made from a semi-natural fibre fabric also called "artificial silk" because this fibre, depending on its thickness, density, or weaving method, tends to imitate noble materials like silk or cotton. This is a set made of an extremely soft, light, and fluid material that has a certain weight, which shows its quality, like a beautiful silk. To be used in spring/summer, indeed this material does not retain heat but still insulates from the cold, it is easy to iron, it is breathable thanks to its fibre, soft, absorbent, luminous, and comfortable to wear, it is also an anti-odour fibre that acts as a natural antibacterial.
Captivating, autumnal plant print, which extends in a succession of vertical friezes, like uniform night-blue friezes and "fine arts" friezes, on which we discover motifs that are combined in a purely artistic way: first, simplified representations of leaves and flowers in solid cream-white colour, from large to small, which in some places seem to be stamped with plant imprints in gradients of warm and passionate colours: blood red, vermilion, orange, salmon, pink. A rather rare model since usually it is the trousers, capris, wrap skirt or shirt that we see and not this maxi skirt with its kimono crop top.
Here a more complex couture design:
For the tailored maxi skirt with an almost high waist, a body-hugging cut on the upper part, then continuing in a flared shape. Zip closure with a double black jewel press stud, on each side of the zip there are superb flap pockets with their black jewel press stud closure, a lined and topstitched waistband which has several belt loops. Finally, on the back, there is a magnificent lined back yoke, all contours of which are topstitched in relief. This yoke resembles bat wings, which is very original.
Kimono crop top whose design invites you to wear it wrap-style, indeed the front panels are triangular, they will form a V-neckline with a wide, lined border when stretched over one another, thanks to the long ties at their ends and the full bottom border which has an integrated elastic, you can then tighten and adjust the panels. The voluminous, short kimono-style sleeves offer a captivating design, with a wide, lined border and well-cut armholes. A 2-in-1 dress that is particularly feminine and sensual.

🪞Vintage condition very good overall: kimono worn a few times and skirt little used.⚠️ kimono size tag missing! As a reminder, this is an artisanal creation and not industrial, micro-irregularities, non-uniform natural dyes, or loose threads may appear. 🌟However, I am leaving it as "good condition" for the customisation of the kimono because there was a snag on the sleeve, so I placed a flower button from an old jpg sweater there and to harmonise, I put another one opposite on the other sleeve (photo). ⚠️Be careful to wash the items in cold water because the blue colour runs, which you can see on the kimono, which unlike the skirt has been washed a few times, where you can see halos or faded blue marks (photos). Rare nascent pilling. ✨For the skirt, some micro lighter marks, at the very bottom of the skirt (photos).
