John Galliano SS 2000 Houndstooth Dress

A sharply elegant dress from John Galliano’s Spring/Summer 2000 era, embodying the designer’s unmistakable tension between Parisian sophistication and sensual precision

With its graphic black-and-white houndstooth motif and sculpted silhouette, the piece feels simultaneously classic and provocatively modern

Cut in a body-skimming shape that follows the contours of the figure with remarkable fluidity, the dress features a sleek sleeveless construction with a high bateau neckline that frames the shoulders beautifully

The iconic houndstooth pattern creates a striking optical rhythm across the body, while the subtle flare at the back hem introduces movement and softness to the otherwise razor-clean silhouette

A delicate tie detail at the shoulder adds a quietly feminine accent, contrasting elegantly against the graphic geometry of the print

The overall effect is cinematic and refined, recalling Galliano’s ability to reinterpret timeless couture codes through a sharper contemporary lens

John Galliano SS 2000 Pepita Jurk
