Magnificent Hermès CARPE DIEM Plissé silk scarf in excellent condition, no defects, bright colors, size 90X90, sold with its box.

What is a Hermès Carré Plissé?

The pleated squares are a unique interpretation of the mythical Hermès 90 × 90 cm scarf, where the silk has been worked into permanent pleats. It is not a different weave, but an artisanal pleating applied after the pattern is printed, creating a three-dimensional texture that turns the object into a sculpture.

This accordion pleating, done in the Hermès workshops or under their supervision, gives the scarf suppleness, structure, and volume. It hugs the neck or shoulders differently from a traditional square, offering light effects and an elegant movement with each wear.
