Refined and authentic vintage 1950s cocktail hat, a true collector's piece by "Little Princess Hats by Muegge," the premium thematic line of the historic American millinery house "Muegge." This niche capsule collection was formally dedicated to grand events, focusing on a hyper-feminine, graceful, and ceremonial aesthetic. Famous for iconic small hats (half-hats, calottes, Juliette caps, and modified pillboxes that do not fully cover the hair to highlight the elaborate bouffant or wavy hairstyles typical of the 50s), they are characterized by clean, geometric lines of sophisticated, never gaudy elegance; highly sought after today for their exceptional structural, sartorial quality and vintage materials.
Like this demi-chapeau with a minimalist mid-century design, featuring a rigid cocktail-cap shape designed to frame the face, resting on the top or back of the head, with clean profiles and an elegant structured bow detail on the back, adding a touch of timeless class.
The outer fabric has a beautiful visible texture similar to heavy linen/hemp, in a versatile ivory/cream shade; the interior is clean and beautifully finished with tone-on-tone satin fabric worked with an elegant geometric diamond pattern, the edge completed by a coordinated grosgrain protective ribbon.
A rare, hard-to-find, and visually striking vintage sartorial accessory, perfect for brides, guests at elegant ceremonies, themed or formal events, retro fashion lovers, photo shoots, or high-end millinery collectors.
